I was going to ask why you were getting the heart cath, but now know why. At our transplant center, they didn't make me do the heart cath prior to transplant, but my heart was pretty healthy and I was only 18 at the time. Glad you will be finally getting the last evaluation test done!

And yes...definitely request for the docs to go through your leg for the heart cath...i've hard that is TONS better and less risks.Kateyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11628086713110351792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7924439865196022375.post-8737044530778509322009-04-01T11:40:00.000-04:002009-04-01T11:40:00.000-04:00Hey Piper:I don't know if congrats are in order, b...Hey Piper:

I don't know if congrats are in order, but it is exciting to be taking steps forward in something you feel need to be done.

I would fully expect you to be comfortable with the procedure before going in, and I think talking to the doc about it is a must. They MAY say "no big deal". I sure hope they do!

You're in my thoughts.

RonnieAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06849674714471543078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7924439865196022375.post-20829687626922378022009-04-01T02:08:00.000-04:002009-04-01T02:08:00.000-04:00I don't blame you for being nervous and I think it...I don't blame you for being nervous and I think it IS a valid concern. Asking those specific questions will hopefully help ease your mind somewhat.

I'm here if you need to talk.whatsherfacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02767972427264230975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7924439865196022375.post-87681900866733004852009-03-31T22:47:00.000-04:002009-03-31T22:47:00.000-04:00I have had 2 cardiocaths. The first time they went in the leg and it went fine the second time they talked me into going in through the neck...well I didn't realize they would basically be covering my whole face except a tiny box by my nose, I felt claustrophobic and like I couldn't breath I got my self SO worked up that after they tried like 3 times with no success they ended up going through the leg anyway and then I was fine! So I would definitely suggest going in through the leg if you are the least bit uncomfortable with your face being covered up. Otherwise the procedure isn't to bad. I know you will be fine! :)Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00406895488412085461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7924439865196022375.post-45825540110340703332009-03-31T22:28:00.000-04:002009-03-31T22:28:00.000-04:00It's good to know that the cardiac cath shouldn't ...It's good to know that the cardiac cath shouldn't affect you, but it will definitely be good to get a second opinion with your tx doc.

I don't remember the cardiac cath being that bad. There was another test (where it felt like your air was being cut off.. I can't remember the name) that was much worse for me.Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07257412116217529657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7924439865196022375.post-82133156565584795132009-03-31T21:52:00.000-04:002009-03-31T21:52:00.000-04:00if anyone can do it, you can! :) :) :)if anyone can do it, you can! :) :) :)NoExcuseshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01015122167362668804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7924439865196022375.post-52261039156997752632009-03-31T21:25:00.000-04:002009-03-31T21:25:00.000-04:00Sheesh Piper LOLI will be thinking of you!!!!Sheesh Piper LOL

I will be thinking of you!!!!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12354849302798817593noreply@blogger.com
